DC++  is a  peer-to-peer file transfer client that can connect to a DC++ hub, each client can share there files and download of other clients, this works much in the same way as limewire or kazaa.

Function: Open DC hub is a Unix/Linux version of the hub software for the Direct Connect network.

 

1. Firstly download the source code from http://opendchub.sourceforge.net/

2. Unzip the file

gzip -d opendchub-0.7.14.tar.gz
tar -xf opendchub-0.7.14.tar

3. Install OpenDC HUB

'./configure'
gmake
make install

4. Then run the following command

/usr/local/bin/opendchub

and setup the require passwords and ports

5. Then you can go and download the client from http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net
