I’ve scrapped the idea of the security images, they were simply not allowing people to sign up, so I’ve gone back to just needing to verify the e-mail address, anyone that has signed up and not been able to log in that should now be working

I went along to each of the how-to's on the to-do list & the done-list and added a link small Super Scripted link to the how-to it was refereeing too, so rather than having to search for the how-to once you have seen it on the home page, it's now available as a link right from the home page

Started adding all the configuration files in my how-to's into 'Quote' boxes to make it easier to see what needs to be copied into the .conf files.

I have added an IRC channel for users of OpenSourceHowTo.Org to chat to and talk to each other on, hopefully this will become another place where Linux users can come for help/answers to there questions.

There are now News RSS feeds at the top of every page from NewsForge, LinuxInsider & Linux Today to tell you whats going on in the Linux & OpenSource World. 

I'm trying to get this announcements page working on an RSS feed so people can just subscribe to this page and know what new things are happening at OpenSourceHowTo.Org, but it's not looking at being easy, so when I figure it out i'll do it. 

After your complaints about the amount of ads on OpenSourceHowTo.Org I removed heaps from the site, i've also removed them from the page previews so when searching for information you don't see them until you click on the content of the page.

After a lot of user complaints about annoying ads, irrelevant ads & offensive ads i've locked down the ads now to only allow 16% of the ads that were showing before, hopefully removing the ads that were annoying people before. 

A lot of the problems i've had with the new skin are now over it's working in almost all the browsers i've tested it in. 

After looking at my webstats I see that i'm getting a lot of users from non-english speaking countries and in trying to help them out i've added a translation module to OpenSourceHowTo.Org.

I've had an idea for some time now to make Video How-To's and i'm starting that now you can see two of my first Video How-To's here

Content is being added to Wiki.OpenSourceHowTo.Org with links to OpenSourceHowTo.Org's How-To's and links back to the wiki, any user is free to add content they want to ad, and I'd really hope you would. 

I've made Wiki.OpenSourceHowTo.Org hopefully people will be able to add information there about the how-to's and it can become a user driven hub of information for OpenSourceHowTo.Org.

I've added a couple of ads to the site, using Google Adsense, Adbrite & RMXdirect

I Am slowly, but surely going through all the how-to's on my site and running over them msyelf and adding screen shots onto them.

All the links should now be added, all the formatting should now be done, hopefully OpenSourceHowTo.Org looks ok now.

Now that the basic content has been added it's time to start formatting it all, adding links to the right webpages, scripts and other content.

The content has finally finished being added.

It took a couple of days, but it's all there now. 

Now that Joomla has been setup it's time to start adding the content from the old site. It should only take a few days to migrate it all across.

OpenSourceHowTo.Org has been opened!!

The Joomla content management system has been installed and the first parts of the configuration are starting to be put into place.
